Florida Concealed Citizen is dedicated to empowering Floridians to learn the basics of safe gun handling and begin the journey of carrying your firearm safely. We intentionally offer a comfortable, friendly learning environment—whether you already know the basics, or you have never fired a gun, this is a great place to learn. Can I buy tickets for multiple people to attend the same class?
Yes!
What should I bring to the class?
Nothing, unless you want to take notes. Do not bring a firearm to class!!!
After the class, how much is the License? If I choose to apply for my CWFL.
$119 for initial license (includes fees)
$57 for Resident renewals ($99 Non-Resident)
Active & Retired Florida Law enforcement officers only pay $77 for Initial Licenses

You can apply by making an appointment at a FDACS Regional Office or a Tax Collector’s Office OR you can apply online.
Can I pay at the door?
No. Our classes often sell out so you much reserve your seat(s) online in advance.
How old do I have to be to take the class?
Technically there is no age limit on the class, but you must be 21 to purchase a handgun or apply for a carry license.
How do I prove I have taken the class, if I want to apply for my CWFL?
At the end of your class, your instructor will provide a certificate of completion. This will be used to apply for the license.
Where are classes held?
We regularly offer classes in many cities and towns, throughout Florida. We also occasionally offer classes at many companies that want to educate their employees.
Will I receive my CWFL at the end of the class?
You will receive a certificate of completion of the class, but not the license itself. You will still need to apply for the license, if you choose to obtain a CWFL.
Can I buy a class as a gift?
Yes!
What is constitutional carry?
Simply put, it allows you to carry concealed weapons without a govt. issue permit, background check, or learning the 100’s and 100’s of gun laws that go with carrying a firearm.
